Episode 30: Bringing a Trauma-Informed Approach to Birth & Beyond: An Interview with Brielle Weber

Joy Noble • February 20, 2024

Welcome to Pints & Pelvic Floors: The Podcast. In Episode 30, I sat down to chat all about birth and the pelvic floor from the perspective of a nurse, doula, and student midwife with Brielle Weber.

birth by brielle doula, postnatal support, private yoga, baltimore MD

Brielle and I joined forces in 2020 when she so graciously allowed me to present about the pelvic floor at the start of her prenatal and postnatal yoga workshops through The Womb Room. We have a similar philosophy around listening to your body and advocating for your needs as well as a love for the pelvic floor and bringing awareness to this important set of muscles which has made our working together and this podcast episode so easy. Brielle brings a holistic approach to her care with influences from her time working in public health and with the Peace Corp which we dive into more. In this episode we also talked about everything from breech babies and preventing stalls to fistulas and sliding scale offerings. Brielle truly has so much knowledge and compassion to offer, so be sure to check out all of her links below!
