Episode 32: Chiropractic Care From Baby to the Whole Family: An Interview with Dr. Pam

Joy Noble • March 5, 2024

Welcome to Pints & Pelvic Floors: The Podcast. In Episode 32, I had a chance to chat with Dr. Pam of First Step Chiropractic.

Dr. Pam and I nerded out on anatomy, discussed the “competition” between chiro & PT, and dove deeper into her treatment philosophy. Dr. Pam also broke down the myths around safety with chiropractic care and she came ready with DATA y’all! She knew all the research and numbers and was more than happy to debunk the myth that chiropractic care is unsafe. We wrapped up our discussion talking about how chiropractors are nerve doctors that utilize the bones and muscles to calm the nervous system. As a pelvic floor therapist, this concept made so much sense as we are also working overtime in pelvic PT to address upregulated nervous systems!

Welcome to Pints & Pelvic Floors: The Podcast. In Episode 60, I sat down with Emily Souder, a writer, licensed clinical social worker, and an awesome human! Emily and I first connected over a desire to chat about how we help people and I quickly knew I needed to invite her on the podcast to share more about her work.

Welcome to Pints & Pelvic Floors: The Podcast. In Episode 58, I reviewed Day 1 of the PelviCon speakers. It was hard to avoid all of the nerdy pelvic therapy things but I tried to keep it as relevant to patients as possible and include the big takeaways & clinical pearls from each person. The speakers are always amazing and bring their own flair and this year did not disappoint!
